Okay, been a loooong time since I sat down and updated here. Life has been very crazy lately, and this week in particular has been a nasty one. But good comes out of everything, I think, and I am feeling very blessed at the moment.

The tornados in Georgia went right through the neighborhood where we have a house and my son still lives (along with three of his friends). We no longer have a garage, and there is a new fixture in our dining room - looks suspiciously like a tree limb with a water fixture in it! We DO still have a live son and his friends, and almost no damage to the actual inside of the home (other than the above-mentioned). Amazing! Had the tree gone the other way, we would have lost half the house - and Drew, who was sitting right in front of it, as it is just outside his bedroom wall. God is good, people!

Our best friends in that neighborhood had a tree fall right through their home (which is no longer liveable). A friend of theirs was standing in the kitchen when she looked around a there was a tree in the dining room/living room just a few feet away. They had 7 people in the house - and no one was hurt! Again, a few feet the other way, and lives would have been lost.

I hope that all our other friends have been as lucky - some of you may be in the alley these things came through - I hope you are as blessed as we were.

bobbie

I am just now getting to look at things again, and to read all the comments and posts. So much I have been missing - some stories, some interesting moments and lots of friendly updates. Please don't think I am not interested, just have been busy. Plus, still learning how to move around in here and find things (okay, I'll admit it - forgot that I had to logon instead of just going in, and couldn't post either! - looking at feet and blushing a bit).

Some days I suffer from "half-heimers", I swear!

bobbie

Thanks so much for all the warm welcomes I have received. If I didn't respond personally, please forgive me - RL is a little nutty at the moment. I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this, with all the wonderful people that are already here!

bobbie

Well, never thought I would do the LJ scene, but Jess Riley talked me into it. As I admire her and we seem to have very similar ideas about TS and fanfic in particular, and life in general, I decided to follow her lead. I don't know how often I will update this, but we'll see. Never thought I would be reading fanfic - and never DREAMED I'd be a slash reader, either. Never say never!

bobbie
